The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has been conferred with the prestigious Award for Integrity by the Nigeria Patriotic Youth Against Corruption and Transparency Initiative (NPYACTI). The award also comes with his designation as an Ambassador of the organisation.
The honour was presented in recognition of Olukoyede’s unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and the fight against corruption in Nigeria. The group described him as a symbol of integrity and a role model for public office holders, particularly in the area of ethical leadership and anti-corruption enforcement.
Speaking at the award presentation, the leadership of NPYACTI noted that since his appointment as EFCC Chairman, Olukoyede has demonstrated notable courage and reform-minded leadership in repositioning the agency and restoring public confidence in Nigeria’s anti-graft war.
In his acceptance remarks, Olukoyede dedicated the award to the hardworking staff of the EFCC and reaffirmed his resolve to uphold professionalism, justice, and zero tolerance for corruption at all levels of public service. He also called on Nigerian youths to remain steadfast in promoting integrity and rejecting corrupt practices, noting that the future of the country depends heavily on a morally upright generation.
The event, which took place in Abuja, attracted youth leaders, civil society groups, and anti-corruption advocates, all of whom applauded the EFCC boss for his principled stance and transparent leadership.
This latest recognition adds to a growing list of commendations for Olukoyede as he continues to drive reforms within the EFCC and reinforce Nigeria’s global standing in the fight against financial crimes.
