Eid-el-Kabir: Lagos Leader Felicitates Muslims, Urges Faith and Unity

LAGOS – June 5, 2025

As Muslims across Nigeria mark Eid-el-Kabir, a prominent Lagos leader has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful, urging them to uphold the values of faith, patience, and unity in their daily lives and community engagements.

In a goodwill message issued on Wednesday, the leader wished all Muslim brothers and sisters in Lagos and across the country peace, joy, and abundant blessings during the festive celebration.

Reflecting on the spiritual significance of the festival, he noted that the story of Prophet Ibrahim remains a timeless lesson in devotion and sacrifice.

“The story of Prophet Ibrahim is a testament to faith, patience, and sacrifice. It reminds us that when we trust in God and remain steadfast, good things will follow,” he stated.

He further called on residents of Lagos to embrace these enduring values as a foundation for building a more peaceful, united, and progressive society.

“Let us hold on to these values as we continue working towards a peaceful and united Lagos,” he added.

The Eid-el-Kabir celebration, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim and is observed with prayers, feasting, and acts of charity among Muslims worldwide.
