Eid-el-Maulud: Gombe Governor Urges Muslims to Embrace Prophet Muhammad’s Virtues

September 4, 2025 | Gombe, Nigeria

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has called on Muslims across the country to use the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud to reflect on and emulate the noble virtues of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in their daily lives.

In a goodwill message marking the celebration of the Prophet’s birth, Governor Yahaya urged the faithful to draw lessons from the Prophet’s exemplary life of piety, compassion, justice, and selflessness, stressing that such values are crucial in building a more peaceful and united Nigeria.

He emphasized that at a time when the nation faces multiple challenges, Muslims must demonstrate tolerance, kindness, and commitment to the common good, adding that true devotion lies in practicing the teachings of Islam through good character and service to humanity.

The Governor further prayed for peace, stability, and prosperity in Gombe State and Nigeria as a whole, while wishing Muslims a joyous and hitch-free Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
