Engr. Abu Salami officially assumed leadership as the new President of the Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA) on Monday, July 29, 2025. He took over from Barrister Oluronke Adeyemi (SAN), marking a significant transition for the state’s prominent private sector body.
KWACCIMA functions as the primary organization for businesses, industrialists, miners, and agricultural stakeholders within Kwara State. Its core mission involves fostering economic expansion, boosting trade and investment, advocating for favorable business policies, and providing a platform for members to network and collaborate. The Chamber plays a vital role in connecting the private sector with government, influencing decisions that impact the local economy.
Engr. Salami brings a substantial background in engineering and a comprehensive understanding of the local economic landscape to his new position. His leadership is expected to drive KWACCIMA’s efforts in promoting business growth, advancing industrial development, and championing policies that support the interests of the business community across Kwara.
Barrister Oluronke Adeyemi (SAN), the immediate past President, served her tenure with notable contributions to KWACCIMA. Her leadership saw the implementation of various initiatives aimed at empowering local enterprises and strengthening collaboration between the private sector and government.
The Kwara business community now observes Engr. Abu Salami’s leadership as he begins his term in advancing the objectives of KWACCIMA and contributing to the economic development of Kwara State.
