The ex-FCT minister highlighted Olunloyo’s ability to combine intellectual rigor with practical governance. He crowned prominent monarchs such as Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III and King Oyewunmi during his tenure as Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs. His political career saw him transition between parties like the National Party of Nigeria (NPN), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), showcasing his adaptability and commitment to public service.

Olunloyo also chaired critical panels investigating infrastructural failures and served as chairman of PDP committees aimed at strategizing for electoral success in Oyo State. Despite controversies surrounding some of his reports and decisions, he remained steadfast in his principles, earning respect across political divides.

The former minister emphasized that Olunloyo’s legacy transcends politics. He was a trailblazer who proved that intellectual excellence could coexist with effective leadership. His contributions to mathematics and governance remain benchmarks for aspiring leaders.
