The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced plans to revoke the titles of more than 3,300 property owners—including diplomatic missions and corporate entities—over non-payment of ground rent.
According to FCTA officials, the affected individuals and organizations failed to settle statutory land use charges despite multiple notices and extended deadlines. The administration emphasized that this move is in line with efforts to boost internally generated revenue and enforce compliance with land administration laws.
Sources within the FCTA Department of Development Control revealed that a public notice listing the defaulting property owners will soon be published, after which legal steps will commence to repossess the lands in question.
The administration warned that no exemptions would be granted, urging defaulters to settle their obligations immediately to avoid forfeiture.
