FG Reaffirms Commitment to Administrative Excellence in Federal Civil Service

Abuja — The Federal Government has reiterated its unwavering commitment to promoting administrative excellence within the Federal Civil Service, emphasizing reforms aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and service delivery.

Speaking at the recent Federal Civil Service reform summit, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, highlighted the government’s strategic plans to modernize civil service operations through capacity building, digitization, and performance management systems.

“Our goal is to create a professional, accountable, and results-oriented civil service that can effectively drive national development,” Dr. Ngige said. “This requires continuous training, adoption of modern technology, and a culture of meritocracy.”

The government’s renewed focus includes streamlining bureaucratic processes, combating corruption, and enhancing staff welfare to boost morale and productivity.

Experts believe these efforts will contribute significantly to Nigeria’s broader socio-economic progress by ensuring that the civil service operates as a reliable backbone of governance.

The Ministry plans to engage all stakeholders, including unions, to foster collaboration and buy-in for the ongoing reforms.
