The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has confirmed the disbursement of ₦1.818 trillion as the Federation Account Revenue for the month of June 2025. The funds have been distributed among the three tiers of government, the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Government Councils.
The announcement was made on Tuesday following the monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting held in Abuja. According to the OAGF, the total revenue was derived from various statutory sources including oil revenues, Value Added Tax (VAT), Exchange Gain, and Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).
Out of the total amount, the Federal Government received ₦407.27 billion, while State Governments got ₦379.41 billion. Local Government Councils were allocated ₦278.04 billion. Additionally, ₦120 billion was shared as 13% derivation revenue to oil-producing states.
The committee explained that the revenue for the month reflected a slight increase compared to previous months, driven largely by improved oil earnings and higher VAT collections.
Reacting to the development, the Accountant General emphasized the need for all levels of government to utilize the funds prudently and invest in projects that directly impact the lives of citizens.
He reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government to ensure transparency in revenue distribution and continuous improvement in the country’s fiscal management system.
