FG’s Ministerial Briefing Series Continues Today as Idris Hosts Arts, Water, and Works Ministries

All is set for the eighth edition of the Federal Government’s Ministerial Press Briefing series, with the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, expected to host three key cabinet members today in Abuja.

The weekly engagement, which has become a platform for government ministers to update the Nigerian public on the implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, will feature the Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa; the Honourable Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev; and the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi.

The #FMINOBriefing series, coordinated by the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, is part of ongoing efforts to promote transparency, performance-based governance, and direct communication between policymakers and the citizenry. Since its launch, the forum has provided insights into critical policy actions, sectoral reforms, and milestones achieved by the current administration across various sectors.

Today’s session is expected to provide updates on the cultural revitalisation strategy, Nigeria’s creative economy roadmap, national water infrastructure development, and the state of federal roads and bridges. It will also afford the ministers an opportunity to respond to public concerns and media queries regarding ongoing projects and reforms within their respective portfolios.

Minister Idris, who has consistently emphasized the importance of public accountability, reaffirmed that the briefings would continue to serve as a window for Nigerians to track government performance and understand the policies shaping national development.

The event is scheduled to hold at the National Press Centre, Radio House, Abuja, with members of the press, civil society groups, and key stakeholders expected to attend.
