FIFA has unveiled a staggering $125 million prize for the winner of this year’s expanded Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
Record-Breaking Prize Pool
The tournament’s total prize money stands at an unprecedented $1 billion, with $525 million allocated as participation fees and $475 million distributed based on performance.
Winner’s Share: Up to $125 million, including performance bonuses.
European Clubs: Expected to earn between $12.81 million and $38.19 million each.
South American Teams: Guaranteed $15.21 million per club.
Other Regions (CONCACAF, Asia, Africa): $9.55 million each.
Oceania’s Auckland City: $3.58 million for participation.
Infantino Hails “Biggest Prize Money in Football
Gianni Infantino emphasized the tournament’s financial impact:
“This is the largest prize fund ever for a group-stage and knockout competition. Beyond the clubs, an additional $250 million will support global football development.”
Revenue Reinvestment
All earnings from the event will be channeled back into club football, reinforcing FIFA’s commitment to growing the sport worldwide.
