Foreign Affairs Ministry Delegation, Led by Amb. Dunoma Ahmed, Attends 2025 International Civil Service Conference in Abuja

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed, PhD, led a high-level delegation from the ministry to the International Civil Service Conference 2025, held in Abuja.

The conference, which attracted senior officials from across Nigeria’s civil service and international partners, served as a platform for knowledge exchange, institutional reform discussions, and strategy development aimed at enhancing public service delivery in the country.

Ambassador Ahmed, who represented the Ministry at the event, emphasized the importance of strong, responsive, and innovative civil service institutions in supporting Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements and national development goals. He also reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to fostering professionalism, accountability, and global best practices in the conduct of foreign relations.

The conference, themed “Rejuvenate, Innovate, and Accelerate,” featured discussions on administrative reform, digital transformation, performance management, and inter-agency cooperation—key elements that align with Nigeria’s broader public sector transformation agenda.

The Ministry’s participation further reinforces its role in promoting Nigeria’s interests on the global stage while contributing to strengthening the machinery of government through diplomatic insight and civil service collaboration.
