Adeniji Kazeem, former Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, has been elected as the new National President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADSN), a prominent Islamic organization focused on education and social development. The election, held during the society’s national conference, also saw the emergence of Ibrahim Yusuf, Yasin, and others as part of the newly constituted executive committee tasked with advancing the society’s mission of promoting Islamic values and community empowerment.
Kazeem, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), brings decades of legal expertise and public service experience to the role, having served as Lagos AG between 2015 and 2019. His leadership is expected to bolster the society’s initiatives in education, healthcare, and youth development, aligning with its longstanding commitment to bridging societal gaps through faith-based interventions.
The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society recently honored 62 members for outstanding contributions to its Lagos State Council, reflecting its emphasis on recognizing service and fostering unity within Nigeria’s Muslim community. The new leadership’s agenda is anticipated to prioritize interfaith dialogue, poverty alleviation programs, and advocacy for equitable policies, particularly in regions facing socioeconomic challenges.
This transition marks a strategic shift for the 102-year-old organization as it seeks to deepen its impact amid contemporary issues such as educational disparities and intercommunal tensions
