Bonny Island, June 23, 2025 – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Bonny Unit Command (RS6.15) on Saturday participated in a joint walking and jogging exercise alongside military and paramilitary agencies, reaffirming its commitment to inter-agency collaboration and physical fitness.
The exercise, held on Bonny Island, brought together personnel from key security and service outfits, including the Nigeria Navy, Nigeria Police Force, Marine Police, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
In what was described as a morale-boosting and unifying initiative, participants covered designated routes in a coordinated walk and jog that demonstrated solidarity, discipline, and collective resolve to maintain both physical fitness and a strong inter-agency relationship.
Speaking after the event, the Commanding Officer of the Forward Operating Base of the Nigerian Navy, Captain Fingasi, commended the high level of participation and expressed satisfaction with the success of the exercise. He emphasized the importance of regular joint activities in promoting trust, unity, and operational understanding among sister agencies.
The FRSC Bonny Unit Command noted that such engagements are in line with the Corps’ strategic goal of strengthening cooperation with stakeholders while enhancing personnel wellness and readiness.
The event concluded with a brief cool-down session and refreshments, during which participants were served water and soft drinks in a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged informal interaction and camaraderie.
