FRSC Boss Recalls Patrol Team over Viral Bribery Allegations, Orders Full Investigation

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dauda Ali Biu, has ordered the immediate recall of a patrol team allegedly involved in bribery, following a viral social media publication that sparked widespread public outrage.

In a swift response to the allegations, the Corps Marshal directed the FRSC disciplinary unit to launch a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident. The decision underscores the Corps’ commitment to accountability, transparency, and the maintenance of ethical standards among its personnel.

The viral footage reportedly captured operatives of the Corps engaging in acts suggestive of soliciting or accepting bribes during duty operations along a major Nigerian highway. While the identities and details of the officers involved are yet to be officially confirmed, the FRSC leadership has pledged to leave no stone unturned in uncovering the facts and ensuring justice is served.

In a statement issued by the FRSC Public Education Department, the Corps Marshal commended members of the public for their vigilance and patriotic stance in exposing misconduct. “We appreciate the active role citizens continue to play in helping us maintain integrity within our ranks. Public trust is crucial to the success of our mandate,” the statement read.

He further reiterated that any personnel found guilty of misconduct would face disciplinary action in line with the Corps’ regulations and public service rules.

The FRSC encouraged Nigerians to continue reporting errant behavior through verified channels while reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance on corruption.
