The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the redeployment of three newly appointed Deputy Corps Marshals (DCMs), two Assistant Corps Marshals (ACMs), and 24 Corps Commanders across different departments and commands nationwide. The decision is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and driving greater performance within the Corps.
The redeployment exercise follows the recent promotion of three Assistant Corps Marshals to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal, a move approved by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume. The newly promoted DCMs include Aliyu Datsama, representing the North West geopolitical zone; Pauline Olaye, representing the South East; and Attahiru T. Hassan, representing the North East. Prior to their elevation, Datsama was overseeing Special Duties and External Relations, Olaye was in charge of the Project Implementation Office, while Hassan managed the Technical Service Department at the National Headquarters.
In his statement, Corps Marshal Mohammed congratulated the affected officers, urging them to justify the trust placed in them by exhibiting renewed commitment, professionalism, and loyalty. He emphasized that the redeployment is part of the FRSC’s ongoing efforts to reposition its workforce for improved service delivery in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes merit, excellence, and results in public service.
The redeployment is also intended to inject fresh energy into critical areas of the Corps’ operations, particularly in reducing road traffic accidents and enhancing public safety on Nigerian highways.
The FRSC reiterated its commitment to sustaining operational excellence, professional discipline, and the welfare of its personnel while working toward safer roads and improved traffic management nationwide.
