FRSC Lagos Zonal Commander Visits AIG Zone 2, Seeks Stronger Synergy for Road Safety

In a move to deepen inter-agency collaboration and enhance public safety, the Acting Zonal Commanding Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS 2 Lagos, Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Ann Oladayo-Odeleye, has paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2, at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos.

The strategic visit was aimed at reinforcing operational synergy between the FRSC and the Nigeria Police Force, particularly within Lagos and Ogun States, two of Nigeria’s busiest and most densely populated regions.

ACM Oladayo-Odeleye, who led a high-powered delegation comprising senior officers from the zonal command, emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in addressing traffic-related challenges, improving enforcement coordination, and ensuring the safety of lives and property on Nigeria’s highways.

“Our collaboration with the Nigeria Police is essential to achieving a seamless enforcement process and addressing the peculiar traffic issues facing Lagos and Ogun States,” she said.

The meeting further highlighted the FRSC’s broader commitment to building institutional partnerships that support safer roads, quicker emergency responses, and more effective traffic management in the country’s commercial nerve centres.

Both agencies reaffirmed their readiness to work together through joint operations, data sharing, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at tackling common security and road safety concerns.

The courtesy visit is part of ongoing efforts by the FRSC to align with critical stakeholders in promoting a safer motoring environment across Nigeria.
