Global (July 9, 2025) — Google has begun rolling out a new “Manage Subscriptions” feature in Gmail designed to help users easily review and unsubscribe from promotional emails. This tool, accessible from the navigation bar via the “Manage subscriptions” menu, provides a one-stop view of active mailing lists and newsletter subscriptions.
From today, the feature is available on the web version of Gmail. It will arrive on Android devices from July 14, and on iOS from July 21, with full availability worldwide expected within two weeks.
In the interface, subscription senders are displayed in order of message frequency alongside counts of recent emails. Users can click on each sender to view all recent messages and unsubscribe with a single click—Gmail sends the unsubscribe request automatically on behalf of the user.
Chris Doan, Gmail’s Director of Product, highlighted that the feature addresses the fatigue caused by “daily deal alerts, weekly newsletters, promotional emails” that flood inboxes and contribute to clutter.
This enhancement builds on Gmail’s earlier one-click unsubscribe capability and is being made available to users of personal Google accounts, Google Workspace, and Workspace Individual subscribers in select countries.
