Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has ordered the immediate suspension of the Commissioner for Health, Yanusa Musa Isma’il, over allegations of negligence of duty and failure to uphold his official responsibilities.
According to a statement from Government House, Birnin Kebbi, the suspension takes effect immediately, pending the Commissioner’s ability to provide a satisfactory explanation in response to the allegations leveled against him.
The Governor stressed that the decision underscores his administration’s commitment to accountability, discipline, and effective governance, adding that public officers must demonstrate responsibility and justify the trust reposed in them.
Isma’il will remain suspended until further notice as investigations continue.
