Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as visionary leadership that has rekindled national resilience and repositioned Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth and development.
In a goodwill message commemorating President Tinubu’s second year in office, Governor Ododo said the president’s bold policy decisions and commitment to transformative governance have brought renewed hope and a stronger sense of purpose across the country.
“Today marks two years of visionary leadership under our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His Renewed Hope Agenda has ushered in a wave of bold reforms, national recalibration, and a new direction for our economy and systems of governance,” Governor Ododo stated.
The Kogi State helmsman emphasized that the administration’s second year represents a season of visible progress, noting that the painful yet necessary reforms initiated in the first year, such as fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange unification, and financial restructuring, have begun to yield results, including a more stabilized economy and renewed investor confidence.
Governor Ododo also highlighted the introduction of key initiatives like the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Initiative, the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, and efforts to enhance food security and revitalize local manufacturing. He said these projects clearly demonstrate a long-term vision for inclusive national development.
He reaffirmed Kogi State’s alignment with the Federal Government’s agenda, stating that the state has begun to implement policies aimed at attracting investment, empowering youth, and expanding the reach of federal reforms to local communities.
As part of the national transition to clean energy, Governor Ododo noted that Kogi State is training young people in CNG conversion technology, a step he said will reduce fossil fuel dependency while creating jobs and promoting environmental sustainability.
While congratulating President Tinubu and all Nigerians on the milestone, the Governor expressed optimism that with sustained leadership and collective effort, the country would continue to advance toward becoming a safer, stronger, and more prosperous nation.
