Representatives of the catering contractor under Mashariq Al Dhahabia Company for Pilgrims Services have paid a courtesy visit to Nigerian state officials currently in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj exercise.
The visit was aimed at evaluating the quality and efficiency of meal services being provided to Nigerian pilgrims and to ensure that their dietary needs and satisfaction levels are being adequately met during the holy pilgrimage.
During the engagement, the catering team held discussions with key officials from various Nigerian State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards. The representatives listened to feedback on the timeliness, hygiene, variety, and cultural suitability of meals delivered to pilgrims across different tents in Mina and Makkah.
Officials from the Nigerian side expressed appreciation for the efforts made so far but also highlighted areas for improvement. Concerns raised included food temperature, menu variety, and the need for better meal distribution coordination during peak hours of worship.
Mashariq’s team assured the Nigerian delegation of their commitment to continual improvement and pledged to adjust operations based on feedback to enhance the welfare of all pilgrims under their care.
This visit underscores the growing importance of accountability and service excellence in the Hajj management process, with both parties pledging to collaborate more closely for a smooth and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
