Hull City Secure Semi Ajayi from West Brom on Two-Year Deal

English Championship side, Hull City, have officially completed the signing of Nigerian international and Super Eagles central defender, Semi Ajayi, from West Bromwich Albion. The experienced defender, who has been a key figure in the heart of West Brom’s defence over the years, joins the Tigers on a two-year contract as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

Ajayi’s move marks a significant addition to Hull City’s backline, with the club keen on strengthening its defensive options in a bid to challenge for Premier League promotion. The 30-year-old brings with him not only solid Championship experience but also valuable international pedigree, having represented Nigeria at major tournaments including the Africa Cup of Nations.

Sources within the club disclosed that negotiations were concluded smoothly, and Ajayi is expected to begin pre-season training with the squad immediately. Fans of Hull City have welcomed the signing, expressing optimism that the towering centre-back will add much-needed stability and leadership to their defence.

Ajayi, who joined West Brom in 2019, made over 100 appearances for the Baggies and was part of the team during their Premier League stint. His transfer to Hull City is seen as a strategic move for both parties, with Ajayi also keen on securing regular playing time and contributing to Hull’s ambitious campaign.
