The immediate past Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Professor Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Governing Board of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.

The appointment, which was approved by Oyo State Governor, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde, was formally conveyed in an official letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
Professor Adebiyi’s appointment comes as a replacement for the late Professor Abiodun Adebowale Ojo, who previously held the position but passed away last year. His tenure takes effect immediately, as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to ensure smooth governance in its tertiary institutions.
Governor Makinde, while congratulating the new appointees, urged them to carry out their duties with unwavering dedication, commitment, and a sense of responsibility towards the development of the education sector in Oyo State.
In a related development, the governor also announced fresh appointments to the governing councils of two other tertiary institutions in the state—Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan.
Furthermore, Governor Makinde approved the appointment of nine part-time members to serve on the Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Christian Wing), reinforcing his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and religious harmony in the state.
The newly appointed officials are expected to bring their wealth of experience to bear in strengthening institutional governance and advancing educational development in Oyo State.
