ICPC Lagos Receives Advanced Forensic Workstation from British High Commission

In a boost to Nigeria’s anti-corruption drive, the Lagos Zonal Office of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has received a state-of-the-art forensic document verification system—VSC 80/FS—from the British High Commission.

The forensic tool was officially handed over by Ms. Hannah Chatterton, representing the British government, and received by the Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner (RACC), Mr. Chukwurah Alexander, fsi. The VSC 80/FS is designed to enhance the Commission’s ability to detect forgery, alterations, and other document-related fraud.

According to the ICPC, the tool is expected to significantly strengthen its investigative capabilities, particularly in the verification of documents related to ongoing anti-corruption and financial crime investigations.

The handover reflects the growing collaboration between Nigeria and the United Kingdom in the fight against corruption, with the British High Commission reaffirming its commitment to supporting institutional reforms and transparency efforts across Nigeria.
