The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
CSP Hundeyin takes over from ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who has been redeployed to another assignment within the Nigeria Police Force.
The IGP described Hundeyin as a seasoned communicator, widely experienced in public relations and strategic communication, noting that his appointment was based on merit, competence, and his proven track record in police-media engagement.
Before his elevation, CSP Hundeyin served as the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, where he earned public recognition for his effective communication, crisis management skills, and transparency in policing matters.
The Force Headquarters expressed confidence that Hundeyin would bring fresh energy to the role, strengthen police-community relations, and further drive the agenda of transparency and professionalism within the Nigeria Police Force.
The IGP also urged the media and members of the public to extend maximum cooperation and support to the new FPRO in the discharge of his duties.
