The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has issued a fierce condemnation of what it described as a “criminal and extremely dangerous” act carried out by Israel on the sovereign territory of Qatar. Tehran’s strong-worded response follows reports alleging that the Israeli military orchestrated a targeted operation within Qatari borders—an action Iran says flagrantly violates international law, the sovereignty of a fellow regional state, and the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.
In an official statement released through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iran did not hold back, accusing Israel of deliberately escalating tensions in an already volatile region. The strike, reportedly aimed at a senior Hamas official believed to be operating from Qatar, has triggered widespread diplomatic uproar and raised fears of a broader confrontation beyond Gaza and Israel’s immediate neighbours.
