In a bold step to groom the next generation of global development leaders, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has announced the opening of applications for its Young Professionals Program (YPP)—a 24-month elite entry-level initiative aimed at preparing young professionals for strategic roles in international development.
Designed for emerging talent with a passion for impact, the IsDB YPP promises more than just employment—it offers a transformative career experience that integrates professional growth, real-world project exposure, and global impact. Participants will benefit from job rotations at the IsDB headquarters in Jeddah and across its regional hubs, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how Islamic finance and sustainable development intersect across the Bank’s 57 Member Countries and Muslim communities in non-Member Countries.
Unlike conventional recruitment schemes, the IsDB YPP guarantees full-time employment upon successful completion, placing young professionals directly into roles where they continue to contribute meaningfully to the Bank’s mission of empowering people for a sustainable future.
From day one, Young Professionals will be deployed on live development projects, engage with strategic partners, and leverage Islamic finance tools to address economic challenges across communities. The Bank emphasizes diversity and inclusivity, ensuring that every participant finds a space to grow, thrive, and lead.
Among the programme’s perks are an internationally competitive tax-free salary, education grants for children, comprehensive medical coverage (including dependents and parents), annual return tickets to home countries, and personal accident insurance. Beyond benefits, however, IsDB focuses intensely on long-term career development.
Each Young Professional will undergo accredited technical and behavioral training, receive mentorship from seasoned advisors, and participate in mission trips across Member States—deepening their understanding of development on the ground. Rotations through various departments and regional offices offer an immersive learning experience, while successful graduates are inducted into IsDB’s High Potential Talent Pool for further progression within the Bank.
This initiative is not just a job—it’s a chance to be part of a community shaping the future of development through innovation, inclusivity, and Islamic finance.
