The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has entered into a strategic agreement with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) to provide affordable housing solutions for its workforce across Nigeria.
The partnership, sealed at the FHA headquarters in Abuja on Monday, July 28, 2025, marks a significant step toward improving the welfare of JAMB employees by granting them access to decent and budget-friendly accommodation through government-backed housing schemes.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, emphasized the Board’s commitment to staff welfare beyond salary packages. He noted that decent housing remains a critical component of productivity and long-term well-being, adding that this partnership is a proactive step to bridge the housing gap among public servants.
The Managing Director of FHA, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, assured that the scheme will cover all cadres of JAMB staff and will be delivered in phases in various states, especially in areas where JAMB operates zonal and state offices. He reiterated the agency’s goal to drive inclusive urban development and promote national home ownership policies.
This collaboration comes as part of the Renewed Hope Housing Agenda, championed by the Tinubu administration, to make home ownership more accessible to civil servants and low-income earners across the country.
Construction of the first batch of homes under this agreement is expected to begin before the end of 2025.
