JAMB Reopens Portal for 2025 UTME Candidates to Upload WAEC Results, Urges Compliance Nationwide

In a bid to ensure a seamless admission process into tertiary institutions across Nigeria, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially reactivated its result upload portal for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates to submit their recently released West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
This development, confirmed by JAMB through an official statement made available to education correspondents, is part of the Board’s standardized procedure aimed at authenticating candidates’ academic qualifications during the admission process. The portal, which had been temporarily inactive pending the release of the 2025 WASSCE results by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), is now live and accessible to all candidates who selected either universities, polytechnics, colleges of education or other tertiary institutions as their preferred choices.

Candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME but applied with awaiting results are now expected to visit any accredited CBT centre to upload their WAEC results without delay. According to JAMB, failure to comply within the stipulated time frame may result in forfeiture of admission opportunities, as institutions rely on the updated portal to verify candidates’ O’level qualifications before offering provisional placements.

Officials of the Board further clarified that the upload process must be done strictly at JAMB-approved centres to prevent falsification of results and ensure data integrity. Candidates have been warned against patronizing unauthorized cybercafés or individuals who claim to have access to the system.

As Nigeria’s central admission coordinating body, JAMB continues to emphasize its commitment to transparency and fairness in the admission process. The Board has consistently advised candidates, parents, and guardians to stay updated via its official channels and avoid falling prey to misinformation circulating on unverified platforms.

With the release of the 2025 WAEC results, this move by JAMB signals the beginning of another critical phase in the admission cycle. Institutions across the country will now begin the process of screening and selecting qualified candidates based on both UTME performance and verified O’level results.
