Kano Emir Charges New Village Leaders to Uphold Honesty.

Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II of Kano called upon newly appointed village heads within the Tarauni Local Government Area to prioritize truth and integrity in their leadership roles. The Emir emphasized that these qualities are essential for fostering community peace and development.

During the official appointment ceremony of Alhaji Mansur Abdullahi as the village head of Unguwar Gano and Umar Bello (Dalladi Mai Unguwa) as the village head of Darmanawa, Emir Sanusi II delivered his address. He stressed the importance of fairness and justice, urging the new leaders to ensure security within their areas by promptly reporting any suspicious activities. He reminded them that leadership is a significant responsibility and advised them to dedicate themselves to the progress of their communities. The Emir encouraged them to be accessible to their people, collaborate with elders, and adhere to the laws of the Kano Emirate and the state.

Alhaji Ahmed Sekure, Chairman of the Tarauni Local Government, expressed gratitude to Emir Sanusi and Alhaji Mujitafa Abubakar, the District Head of Darmanawa, for their oversight in the appointment of the village heads. He urged the residents of Unguwar Gano and Darmanawa to support their new leaders in promoting good governance and peace.

Alhaji Mujitaba Abba Abubakar (Sarkin Yakin Kano), the District Head of Darmanawa, also advised the newly appointed village heads to remain committed to addressing issues such as drug abuse and to work closely with the emirate to ensure community stability and progress.

Alhaji Mansur Abdullahi, the new village head of Unguwar Gano, and Mallam Umar Bello (Dalladi Mai Unguwa), the new village head of Darmanawa, pledged their full support to the District Head of Darmanawa, the Emir of Kano, and the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government. They also appealed to their communities for cooperation, assuring that they would maintain open communication to facilitate development in their respective areas.
