Kiin Media Kicks Off Production of Little Minarets, an Islamic Series for Kids

A fresh and exciting chapter is unfolding at Kiin Media, the production arm of Lasilkiin Communications, as work officially begins on Little Minarets, a new Islamic series created especially for children. Set to launch this August on YouTube, the show is designed to teach young kids about Islam in a fun, engaging, and relatable way.

This project is one of the first major initiatives funded through the investor offering launched by Lasilkiin earlier this year. Developed under the NASFAT umbrella, Little Minarets blends storytelling, skits, songs, and animations to introduce Islamic values to children aged 4 to 10, covering topics like the five pillars of Islam, stories of the prophets, kindness, prayer, and good character.

The show is being produced for YouTube to ensure global access, but there are also plans to broadcast it on terrestrial and digital satellite TV stations, expanding its reach to families who rely on traditional television.

“This project is really special,” said Kafayat Oyewo, the show’s main anchor. “We want our children to see themselves reflected in the stories they watch. We want them to grow up knowing that Islam is not just something taught in the masjid, but something beautiful, joyful, and part of everyday life. That’s what Little Minarets is all about.”

The official trailer is expected to drop in July, with weekly episodes rolling out from August.
