Lagos Commissioner Bada Ambrose Inaugurated into Oversight Committee for 4th AU MSME Forum

June 2, 2025 – Abuja, Nigeria — The Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment (MCCTI), Mrs. Folashade Kaosarat Bada Ambrose, has been officially inaugurated as a member of the Oversight Committee for Nigeria’s hosting of the 4th African Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Forum.

The high-level committee, which includes other key stakeholders, will supervise preparations and delivery of the continental forum scheduled to take place from June 23 to 27, 2025, in Abuja.

Approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and coordinated by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Forum is part of a broader agenda to reposition Africa’s MSMEs to drive cross-border digital trade and foster deeper regional economic integration.

Mrs. Bada Ambrose’s appointment reflects Lagos State’s strategic role in Nigeria’s commerce and enterprise landscape and its commitment to supporting national and continental efforts to empower small businesses and innovators.

The upcoming forum will gather MSME stakeholders from across the African continent, including policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and development partners, to deliberate on practical solutions that promote trade and digital economy participation by African MSMEs.

The committee is expected to ensure seamless coordination, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilization to deliver a successful and impactful event.
