Lagos, Nigeria – Thursday, September 11, 2025
The Lagos State Government has announced a statewide arts and crafts competition for over 100,000 students across more than 1,200 secondary schools and tertiary institutions. The initiative aims to encourage creativity, innovation, and artistic expression among students, while promoting environmental education and cultural awareness.
The competition builds on previous efforts by the Lagos State Parks & Gardens Agency (LASPARK), which has successfully organized similar programs to engage students in art, horticulture, and biodiversity awareness. Winners of past competitions have benefited from initiatives such as the establishment of mini-botanical gardens in participating schools.
The Lagos State Government called on students, teachers, and educational institutions to actively participate, highlighting the event as an opportunity to showcase talent and foster a spirit of healthy competition among youths in the state.
