LASPA Pledges Legal Action Against Offenders Disrupting Operations and Assaulting Staff

Lagos, Nigeria – August 9, 2025

The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has issued a stern warning that it will prosecute individuals obstructing its operations or attacking its personnel. The agency stated that recent incidents of harassment and interference with its officials will no longer be tolerated, as such acts undermine its mandate to regulate and manage parking across the state.

According to LASPA, its personnel have faced increasing hostility while enforcing parking regulations, with some offenders resorting to verbal and physical assaults. The authority emphasised that these actions constitute criminal offences and will be met with decisive legal measures.

LASPA reiterated its commitment to maintaining order in the state’s parking system, urging members of the public to comply with existing laws and cooperate with its enforcement officers. The agency also assured that its officials will continue to operate within the confines of the law while safeguarding public interest.
