Late Bisola Kola-Daisi, Daughter of Former Oyo Governor, Set for Burial on April 17

The family of the late Bisola Kola-Daisi, eldest daughter of former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has announced the final burial arrangements for their beloved wife, mother, and daughter. Bisola passed away recently after a brief illness in the United Kingdom at the age of 42.

A special worship and tribute service, titled “An Evening of Worship & Tribute,” will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. and will attract dignitaries, family friends, and well-wishers who will gather to pay their respects to Bisola, whose life touched many through her philanthropic gestures and gracious demeanor.

The funeral service will take place the following day, Thursday, April 17, at the City of David parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) within the Trinity Towers facility on Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Road, also on Victoria Island. The service is set to commence at 10:00 a.m.

After the church service, a private interment ceremony will be held at a undisclosed location, strictly attended by immediate family members. This arrangement reflects the family’s desire to maintain a moment of quiet reflection and privacy during this solemn occasion.

Bisola was married to businessman and philanthropist Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and their union was blessed with three children. Her passing has drawn an outpouring of condolences from prominent Nigerians, including President Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who have all praised her as a warm-hearted and accomplished individual.

As the date of her final rites approaches, the atmosphere remains one of both solemnity and deep reverence for a life that, though cut short, left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Bisola was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s luxury retail scene and a dedicated philanthropist, serving as a Special Adviser to Senator Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Planning
