LJLA Fellows Arrive in Singapore for International Policy Learning Experience

The Leadership for Justice and Legal Advancement (LJLA) Fellows have arrived in Singapore for an intensive international policy learning experience, aimed at strengthening their understanding of global governance, legal reforms, and public sector innovations.

The exchange programme, organised in collaboration with leading academic and policy institutions in Singapore, will expose the fellows to best practices in law, public administration, technology integration, and citizen engagement. Participants are expected to engage in workshops, policy roundtables, and institutional visits, including the Singapore Parliament, Supreme Court, and agencies renowned for their efficiency and innovation.

Speaking on the programme, LJLA Coordinator, Dr. Ifeoma Okonkwo, emphasized the importance of equipping future legal and policy leaders with global perspectives. “This programme helps our fellows bridge the gap between domestic policy realities and international standards. Singapore offers an excellent model of governance, discipline, and technological advancement,” she noted.

The fellows are drawn from legal, civil society, and public sector backgrounds across Nigeria and are expected to return with actionable insights to drive justice sector reforms and promote democratic governance back home.
