Madinah’s Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport has officially welcomed the first batch of Indian pilgrims arriving for Hajj 2025. The group, comprising over 400 pilgrims, touched down on a Saudi Arabian Airlines flight, marking the commencement of the annual pilgrimage season.
Upon arrival, the pilgrims were greeted by officials from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, who extended a warm welcome and provided essential information to ensure a smooth and fulfilling pilgrimage experience. The Indian Consulate in Jeddah also coordinated efforts to facilitate the arrival process and address any immediate needs of the pilgrims.
The Indian government, in collaboration with the Saudi authorities, has implemented streamlined procedures to ensure the safe and efficient arrival of pilgrims. These measures include dedicated counters at the airport, assistance with baggage handling, and guidance on health and safety protocols.
This year, India has been allocated a significant quota for Hajj, with thousands of pilgrims expected to perform the sacred rites in Makkah and Madinah. The first batch’s arrival sets the tone for a successful and spiritually enriching pilgrimage season.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has reiterated its commitment to providing exceptional services to all pilgrims, ensuring their safety, comfort, and the fulfillment of their spiritual duties. As more flights are scheduled, the influx of international pilgrims is anticipated to continue, reflecting the global significance of Hajj.
