Manchester United Dismisses Bruno Fernandes’ Exit Rumours Amid Real Madrid

In a firm rebuttal to swirling transfer speculations, Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has emphatically declared that club captain Bruno Fernandes is not up for sale, despite ongoing links to Spanish powerhouse, Real Madrid.

The 30-year-old midfield maestro, who arrived at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in 2020, has been a pivotal figure for the Red Devils, netting an impressive 95 goals across 277 appearances. With his current contract running until 2027, any notion of an imminent departure has been firmly shut down by the club.

Recent reports suggested that Real Madrid was preparing a staggering £90 million (€107.4 million) bid to lure Fernandes to the Santiago Bernabéu. However, Amorim wasted no time in quelling such claims.

“No, it’s not going to happen,” Amorim stated with conviction.

He further elaborated on the importance of Fernandes to United’s ambitions, particularly as they aim to reclaim Premier League glory.

“I want Bruno here because, even during the toughest moments of our season, he has consistently impressed. We are striving to win the Premier League again, and for that, we need our best players to remain,” the Portuguese tactician asserted.

Addressing the relentless workload that Fernandes shoulders each season, Amorim highlighted the player’s resilience and contribution to the team’s success.

“He may be 29, but given how he plays over 55 matches every season, he still has the energy of a much younger player. With his combined goals and assists, he delivers at least 30 contributions every season. That’s exactly the type of player we want in our squad,” Amorim explained.

The United boss also reinforced the club’s control over the situation, assuring fans that Fernandes remains fully committed to the Manchester outfit.

“We hold the reins here, and from all indications, he is very happy at Manchester United,” Amorim concluded.

With this statement, the Red Devils have sent a clear message Bruno Fernandes is an integral part of their plans, and any suitors eyeing a move for the playmaker may have to look elsewhere.
