Mohbad’s Brother and Friend Arrested Outside Lagos Court

Adura, the younger brother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was reportedly taken into custody by operatives of the Nigeria Police outside the Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos. He was arrested alongside his friend, Ibrahim Koleosho, also known as King White, after attending a legal hearing concerning a phone transaction with one Damola Ayinde.

The arrest follows an ongoing dispute involving Adura and actor Yomi Fabiyi. In December 2024, Fabiyi accused Adura of attempting to extort ₦3 million in Bitcoin in exchange for alleged video evidence related to Mohbad’s death. Adura denied the claim, stating that Ayinde, the buyer of his phone, was responsible for the alleged messages. The matter remains under forensic investigation and legal review.

Following the arrest, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, appeared in a viral video pleading for her son’s release. Visibly distraught, she accused Fabiyi and another individual, Sam Jojo, of orchestrating the incident, insisting that her son was innocent and unwell.

A family member, speaking anonymously, revealed that the arrest might have been triggered by a heated exchange between Koleosho and Fabiyi regarding the phone dispute. The source stated that while Koleosho’s whereabouts were confirmed, Adura’s location remained unknown, and efforts to trace them were ongoing.

A police source disclosed that the arrest was carried out by operatives from the Zone 2 Police Command in Onikan rather than the Lagos State Command. However, official details regarding the reason for their detention remained unclear, as attempts to reach the zonal police spokesperson, Ayuba Umma, were unsuccessful.
