Muslim Leaders Unite in Doha, Condemn Israeli Strike and Expansionist Policies

Doha, Qatar | Tuesday, September 16, 2025

Muslim leaders from across the Arab and Islamic world have called for urgent collective action to counter what they described as Israel’s “treacherous” aggression and expansionist ambitions.

The call was made at the ongoing Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha, Qatar, convened in response to last week’s Israeli airstrike on the city, which has been widely condemned as a blatant violation of international law.

In a joint communiqué, summit participants denounced the attack as part of Israel’s broader strategy of destabilisation in the Middle East, warning that its expansionist agenda poses a threat not only to Palestine but to regional security at large.

Leaders urged Muslim nations to deepen unity and cooperation in defence, diplomacy, and humanitarian support for the Palestinian cause. They also pressed for stronger engagement with international bodies, including the United Nations, to demand accountability for what they termed “war crimes” committed against civilians.

Analysts say the Doha summit underscores renewed momentum for a united Muslim front in the face of mounting geopolitical crises. Observers also note that the meeting highlights the shifting dynamics of global diplomacy, with Qatar playing a central role in rallying Arab–Islamic solidarity against Israel’s actions.
