MWL Secretary-General, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Meets Kenyan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia for Strategic Talks

The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, has received the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Ramadhan Ruwange, in Riyadh. The high-level diplomatic engagement focused on deepening cooperation and exploring shared interests between the MWL and the East African nation.

KIIN360 gathered that the meeting, which was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on various issues of mutual concern, including interfaith dialogue, humanitarian collaboration, and promoting peaceful coexistence. They also discussed the vital role of religious institutions in fostering unity, social stability, and moral values across diverse communities.

Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa, known globally for his active promotion of moderate Islam and interreligious understanding, expressed appreciation for Kenya’s efforts in maintaining religious harmony within its multi-ethnic and multi-faith society. He affirmed the Muslim World League’s readiness to partner with the Kenyan government and its religious bodies in areas that promote global peace, fight extremism, and support development-driven initiatives.

Ambassador Ruwange, on his part, commended the MWL for its global outreach and continued efforts in championing values of tolerance, cooperation, and humanitarian service. He also conveyed Kenya’s interest in strengthening ties with the MWL and benefitting from its global experience in religious diplomacy and faith-based initiatives.

The engagement marks another significant step in the MWL’s ongoing efforts to build bridges between nations and religious communities, with Saudi Arabia continuing to serve as a hub for international religious diplomacy under its Vision 2030 framework.
