The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has debunked viral messages circulating online which falsely claim that the NAF has commenced recruitment into its 2025/2026 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) and Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC).
In an official statement released on Wednesday, the Air Force clarified that no such recruitment exercise is ongoing, urging Nigerians to disregard all unofficial announcements and fraudulent adverts.
“The Nigerian Air Force wishes to state clearly that the recruitment process has not begun,” the statement said. “The public is advised to be cautious of fake messages designed to exploit unsuspecting applicants.”
NAF reiterated that all its recruitment exercises are free, transparent, and strictly merit-based, stressing that it does not charge any fee nor does it work through third-party agents at any stage of the enlistment process.
