Kigali, Rwanda | July 3, 2025 — The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has added another feather to its cap on the continental stage as Wing Commander Ademola Oluwatoyin Ogunleye emerged as the second overall best student at the Senior Command and Staff Course Intake 13 of the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC), held in Musanze, Rwanda.
Ogunleye stood out among a cohort of 108 senior officers drawn from the Rwanda Defence Force, Rwanda National Police, 18 African countries, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, distinguishing himself with an outstanding academic performance and professional excellence.
The prestigious graduation ceremony was graced by Rwandan Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente, top military officials, and members of the diplomatic community, including representatives from the Nigerian High Commission in Rwanda.
The Nigerian Air Force leadership, under Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has been lauded for its strong commitment to international military cooperation and human capacity development. Wing Commander Ogunleye’s success is seen as a reflection of this strategic vision to produce officers of global repute capable of contributing to international peace and security.
