NAHCON Deputy Coordinator Visits Nigerian Consulate in Jeddah Over 2025 Hajj Logistics

In a move aimed at strengthening collaboration and fine-tuning operational strategies for the successful execution of the 2025 Hajj exercise, the Deputy Coordinator of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Makkah Office, Mr. Alidu Shutti, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Deputy Consul General at the Nigerian Consulate in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The high-level engagement took place as part of NAHCON’s ongoing efforts to ensure that all logistical and diplomatic frameworks are firmly in place ahead of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. With tens of thousands of Nigerian pilgrims expected to participate in the sacred rites, coordination between the commission and Nigeria’s consular officials in Saudi Arabia remains a critical component of the overall Hajj planning process.

During the visit, both parties discussed key aspects of the upcoming pilgrimage, including accommodation arrangements, pilgrim welfare, consular support services, medical readiness, and transportation logistics within the Kingdom. The interaction was described as cordial and productive, underscoring the shared commitment to delivering a seamless and spiritually fulfilling experience for Nigerian pilgrims.

Mr. Shutti reaffirmed NAHCON’s determination to work hand-in-hand with all relevant stakeholders, including Saudi authorities, service providers, and the Nigerian diplomatic mission, to uphold the welfare, safety, and comfort of every Nigerian pilgrim throughout their stay in the holy land.

Such engagements are not just protocol visits but form the backbone of Nigeria’s annual Hajj preparations. As the 2025 Hajj season draws closer, officials on both sides continue to intensify efforts to address all logistical concerns and prevent any disruptions that could affect the performance of the spiritual obligations by the pilgrims.
