The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah across the country and beyond on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, calling for renewed faith, sacrifice, and unity.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, the Commission described Eid al-Adha as a season of deep spiritual reflection and an opportunity for Muslims to reaffirm their commitment to obedience, compassion, and charity in the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
“On this sacred occasion, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria wishes all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid,” the statement read. “As pilgrims gather at the holy sites in Saudi Arabia for the final rites of Hajj, we join the global Muslim community in prayers for peace, national unity, and divine blessings upon Nigeria.”
The Commission commended Nigerian pilgrims for their exemplary conduct during the ongoing Hajj, adding that it remains committed to upholding the welfare and safety of all pilgrims.
NAHCON also urged Muslims to embody the true essence of the Eid celebration by reaching out to the needy and fostering harmony in their communities.
“As we mark Eid al-Adha, let us remember the values of sacrifice, humility, and love for one another. These virtues are needed more than ever in our collective journey as a nation,” the statement concluded.
The Commission wished all pilgrims a safe completion of Hajj rites and safe return to their homes.
