The Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, alongside key members of the Commission’s leadership, arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport for a pivotal inspection and engagement. The delegation included the Commissioners for Operations, Public-Private Partnership and Mobilization Fund (PPMF), and Planning, Research, Statistics, and Information Liaison Services (PRSILS), as well as the NAHCON Secretary and other senior management staff.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts by the Commission to oversee and improve the logistics and facilities that are integral to Nigeria’s Hajj operations. As part of NAHCON’s mandate to ensure the seamless execution of Hajj and Umrah services for Nigerian pilgrims, the inspection aims to assess readiness and align operational strategies with international standards.
Professor Usman, during his visit, expressed the Commission’s commitment to improving the pilgrimage experience for Nigerians, stressing the importance of collaboration with local authorities and airport management to ensure the efficient handling of pilgrims, especially during peak travel seasons. The delegation’s inspection of the Port Harcourt International Airport aligns with NAHCON’s broader vision to enhance infrastructure, streamline processes, and address any challenges faced by pilgrims before, during, and after their journey.
