NAHCON Refutes Claims of Delay in 2026 Hajj Plans, Gives Update on 2025 Financial Reconciliation

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has strongly denied recent reports suggesting that unresolved financial matters from the 2025 Hajj exercise are stalling preparations for the 2026 pilgrimage. In a statement made available to journalists, the Commission clarified that contrary to speculations, the process of reconciling accounts for the recently concluded 2025 Hajj is on course, with substantial progress already recorded.

The Commission explained that it has been engaging in meticulous financial reconciliation to ensure transparency and accountability in line with global best practices.
