NASFAT Calls for Peace Amid Communal Conflict in Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun, and Ilobu

The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has issued a heartfelt appeal for peace, following the recurring communal clashes in Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun, and Ilobu communities in Osun State.

In a statement by the National Public Relations Secretary of NASFAT, Alhaji Shamsudeen Oseni, NASFAT President, Alhaji AbdulRauf Ayodeji AbdulWahid, expressed deep sympathy for its members and residents affected by the unrest, acknowledging the distress and hardship caused by the conflict.

AbdulWahid extended his condolences to the affected communities and emphasized the devastating consequences of prolonged hostilities.

“We are pleading with our people and all stakeholders to give peace a chance because the aftermath of war is always disastrous,” he said.

He also urged all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and reconciliation to restore stability in the region.

Echoing the president’s sentiments, NASFAT’s Chief Missioner, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, called for steadfastness in prayer and encouraged the warring factions to embrace peaceful resolutions. “We must be cognizant that war is not bread and tea; it only brings suffering,” he stated. Imam Onike reminded the communities that Islam and NASFAT stand for peace and urged them to seek Allah’s guidance in resolving their differences.

As a precautionary measure, NASFAT has temporarily suspended all Asalaatu programs in the affected zone until peace is fully restored. The organization emphasized that the safety and well-being of its members and residents remain its top priority.

NASFAT also appealed to well-meaning individuals, community leaders, and stakeholders to join hands in spreading the message of peace and fostering conflict resolution. The organization expressed optimism that, through collective efforts and divine intervention, calm would soon return to the troubled communities.

The statement concluded with a prayer for Allah’s guidance and intervention. “May Allah (SWT) soothe the victims, touch the hearts of those involved, and restore lasting peace,” NASFAT prayed.

The recurring conflict in Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun, and Ilobu has raised concerns about the safety and stability of the region. NASFAT’s call for peace underscores the urgent need for dialogue and reconciliation to prevent further loss of lives and property.
