By Sulaimon Olanrewaju

It was a night of heartfelt tributes, spiritual gratitude and celebration as the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria honoured its immediate past National Executive Council led by Mr Niyi Yusuf for a successful and impactful tenure between 2019 and 2024.

At a special dinner organised to mark the end of the administration’s stewardship and welcome the new executive, members of the Board of Trustees, stakeholders, families and friends poured glowing tributes on the outgoing officers for their exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the growth of the society.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of NASFAT’s Board of Trustees, Dr Abdul Lateef Wale Olasupo, described the Yusuf-led administration as a divine blessing to the organisation. He attributed their numerous achievements to unity, dedication and a sincere spirit of service, especially during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic which disrupted religious activities across the globe.

Dr Olasupo praised the foresight and consistency of Mr Niyi Yusuf, noting that his leadership brought stability, innovation and inspiration at a time when many faith-based organisations struggled to keep their members united. He said the administration turned trials into triumphs and ensured that NASFAT not only survived the difficult period but also thrived spiritually and structurally.

In the same vein, he commended Alhaja Bola Kupolati, the former National Women Affairs Secretary, for her unrelenting efforts in mobilising support and resources for the development of Fountain University, Osogbo, NASFAT’s tertiary institution. He acknowledged her synergy with Mr Yusuf in attracting donors and implementing initiatives that contributed to the elevation of the university.

Dr Olasupo urged the new administration led by Alhaji Abdul Waheed Ayodeji to build on the solid foundation laid by their predecessors. He expressed confidence in the new president, who served as Vice President 1 in the past administration, affirming that his emergence is not by accident but a result of proven loyalty and capable leadership displayed under Mr Yusuf’s guidance.

Offering prayers, the BOT Chairman invoked Allah’s blessings upon Mr Niyi Yusuf, his wife and children, praying that the Almighty will reward their sacrifices in manifold ways, protect their home and business, and accept their services as acts of worship.

The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, appreciation and expressions of hope for continued spiritual progress. It served as a testimony to the enduring legacy of servant leadership and the blessings that follow sincere dedication to the cause of Allah.
