NASFAT Ogun Women Show Compassion at Special Needs Home, Launch Biennial Conference with Charity

By Sulaimon Olanrewaju

In a heartwarming display of Islamic brotherhood, the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) Ogun Zone 2 women have kicked off their second biennial conference with acts of charity, visiting the State Hospital Ijebu-Ode and Eruobodo Home for children with special needs.

The conference, themed “Ijebu-Ode 2025,” began with a spirit of giving as the Muslim women pooled resources to provide succor to patients and special needs children. Alhaja Olukoya Wasilat Olayinka, the zone’s Coordinator 2, emphasized that supporting vulnerable groups has become a sacred tradition for the organization.

“Reaching out to these special children isn’t just charity – it’s our divine calling as Muslim mothers to show Allah’s mercy to all His creations,” Alhaja Olayinka stated while presenting the gifts.

Mrs. Odunsi, administrative officer of Eruobodo Home, showered praises on the NASFAT women for their consistent humanitarian interventions. “Your regular visits and gifts demonstrate true Islamic compassion. May Allah reward your kindness abundantly,” she prayed.

The spiritual dimension of the conference commenced earlier with a special Jumat service at the Ijebu-Ode Central Mosque, where clerics reminded attendees of Islam’s emphasis on charity and communal support.

Alhaja Ganiyat Babalola, NASFAT’s National Women Affairs Secretary, used an interactive session to reinforce the Quranic principle of sisterhood. “As believers, we must be our sisters’ keepers. The Quran reminds us in Surah Al-Ma’un that true faith reflects in how we treat the vulnerable among us,” she admonished.

The conference marks the group’s second biennial gathering since its maiden edition in Sagamu in 2023. Through such initiatives, NASFAT women continue to exemplify the prophetic tradition of combining faith with practical acts of kindness.

May Allah accept their deeds of charity and strengthen the bonds of sisterhood among the believers. Ameen.
