NCCSC Gwagwalada Inaugurates Junior Course 22, Urges Students to Uphold Professional Standards

The Nigerian Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, has officially inaugurated Junior Course 22, with a call on participants to uphold the highest levels of professionalism, discipline, and integrity throughout their training and future service.

The inauguration ceremony, which held at the college’s auditorium, was attended by senior officers, instructors, and dignitaries from sister agencies. Speaking at the event, the Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs, ACG Olusegun Oladipo, said the training is aimed at equipping officers with the tactical, operational, and leadership skills needed to confront emerging challenges in the customs and border management environment.

He noted that Junior Course 22 consists of 50 officers drawn from various customs formations across the country, all nominated based on merit and outstanding service.

“This course marks a critical phase in your career development. You must approach it with seriousness, discipline, and a mindset geared towards service excellence,” ACG Oladipo said. He emphasized the need for ethical conduct, inter-agency collaboration, and adaptability in the face of global trade dynamics and security threats.

The Commandant also reaffirmed the college’s commitment to delivering high-quality training, aligning with the vision of the Nigeria Customs Service under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, to promote professionalism and enhance capacity across the ranks.

The ceremony ended with a tour of the college’s upgraded facilities and an address by the Course Director, who encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity for knowledge and self-improvement.
